This is a wheel thrown and hand sculpted jug that was created from stoneware red clay. It was then hand painted with lead free underglazes and stained with red iron oxide to give it a distressed look, as well as to bring out the many textures encompassing the body of the jug. Finally, sculpted hands were attached to the front with wire to give the Jester Jug the whimsical design you see before you.
